Licensed Early Childhood Educator, Ceramist, Artist, Entrepreneur
“I feel blessed to be able to combine art and young people – the two things I enjoy most everyday – and call it my work!”
Born in India, I has lived in England, Hong Kong, Thailand, Nepal, the Philippines and, since 2003, calls Gavle, Sweden home. Well-travelled to near and distant countries, I appreciates the value of different cultures.
I find strength in creativity and in a creative potential we all carry within. When not busy with children, art and family, work with clay, textile design and reads voraciously. An artist and spectator, is also a Board Member of the Gavleborg County Art Association.
“I enjoy challenges faced in my chosen profession as an early childhood educator exploring creative solutions to early childhood achievements.”
“The three building blocks of didactic studies – WHAT, WHICH, and HOW – are an important part of my role as an artist and teacher. I bring to my children’s group a
desire to build security, materials knowledge and test curiosity – influences which fit neatly within the 1-19 year-old Curriculum prospectus.”
My name is Elsa and I am in my late twenties. I live with my partner Alex and our dog Sauron.
I have worked with children and young people since the age of 15. I have worked as a locum child-minder in Södertälje municipal preschools where I enjoyed sewing, long forest walks and fishing. If you would like to know more about me feel free to ask!
